With the myriad of hot chicken spot popping up, it is refreshing to find an entrant with proper Nashville pedigree. Enter Hotville Chicken from Ms. Kim Prince of Prince’s Hot Chicken royalty.
They bring the tradition and Nashville hot chicken to LA with roots that go way back to where it all started. So how does it compare? Well, they serve quarter birds; so that’s a good start. They also serve a sandwich called “The Shaw” (because, really, LA loves their sandos); however, I did not partake of it this time. The chicken had plenty of flavor and good heat; the sides are excellent; and the sweets (this Key Lime Pie pictured) really hits the spot.
